Did you know that Dr. Seuss' birthday is coming up?  My daughter's school always does a Read Across America week in collaboration with Dr. Seuss' birthday and I think it's a wonderful way to get kids and parents reading!  I have always been a huge fan of Dr. Seuss books!  My favorite is "Hop on Pop" and my kiddos ask me to read it again and again!  Well, NCircle Entertainment is joining in on the Dr. Seuss fun with this new DVD entitled The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That: Safari, So Good!  My kids and I received this DVD and the accompanying book to review and they are loving it!  We all love the PBS program "The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That" where the Cat, Sally and Nick learn about science and animals.  This book and DVD are all about taking an African safari!  Kids will learn about warthogs, buffalo, hippos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and many more!  I love that the book is written in rhyme just like Dr. Seuss!  After reading the book to my kids, we watched the book come to life in the DVD and learned even more about all of these magnificent animals!  (Yes, I learned a thing or two too!)  I love when my children can learn from watching television and The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That is a great program for kids!  Bella is 8 and Sam is 4 and they both enjoy this wonderful show based on Dr. Seuss' own Cat In The Hat!  If you are looking for a great way to spend Dr. Seuss' birthday, pick up a copy of The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That in book or DVD (or both!)

My kids and the daycare bunch just LOVE the show "The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About That" which airs on PBS Kids.  I have always loved Dr. Seuss and I love this show too!  Recently we received The Cat In The Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas! from NCircle Entertainment, and the kids have asked to watch it over and over again!  Sam is really excited about Christmas this year and has been asking tons of questions about Santa, his reindeer and the elves.  This DVD is great!  The Cat In The Hat. NCircle Entertainment Halloween DVDs Review & Giveaway! - CLOSED!

NCircle Entertainment has got us covered with Halloween DVDs for our preschoolers' favorite shows!  We received 3 DVDs to review and the kids have been loving them!  They are all geared up for Halloween and watching Halloween episodes of their favorite shows, makes their excitement even greater!  The first one we watched was The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That: Tricks and Treats.  There are 3 stories with a running time of 35 minutes.  The kids love watching Sally, Nick and The Cat happen upon other animals!  These episodes feature bats, spider monkeys and a coconut crab!  The kids love learning about the different animals and of course the fun Halloween costumes!

Word World is a super fun show that the kids love to watch on PBS Kids.  They were super excited to see Word World: Kooky Spooky Halloween.  This show is so unique.  All of the animals and objects are actual words - just in the shapes and colors of the object.  This show works with kids on phonics, spelling, vocabulary and more.  All of this while having fun!  This DVD contains two episodes: "A Kooky Spooky Halloween" and "Sheep's Halloween Costume".  The kids had a great time watching this DVD and have asked to watch it over and over again since!

My favorite of the three was Sid the Science Kid: Sid's Spooky Halloween!  I'm such a fan of Sid the Science Kid - the kids love it too!  I just love how every episode, Sid asks a science question and learns the answer from his parents and at school with the help of his classmates and Teacher Suzie.  The songs are so catchy and I love that the kids are learning about science.  (I sometimes learn a thing or two also!)  This DVD contains fun Halloween science as well as a bonus story "Sid's Healthy Day".  The kids loved learning about bats, spiders and human skeletons and of course Sid and his friends dressed up for Halloween!
