Last Saturday we had a really fun night! The Fox Home Entertainment Insiders gave my family the opportunity to have a Free Birds Pizza Party and my kids sure loved it! Free Birds is a super cute new movie that was released to DVD and Blu-ray on February 4th. We were given the Blu-ray and some fun activities for the kids to do along with a Pizza Hut gift card! We all love Pizza Hut so we were thrilled to indulge in dinner and a movie! The kids were given matching t-shirts and although it's hard to get a picture of all three of them looking at the camera without making a silly face, I was able to snap a few of them being cute and matching! They were really excited to watch this movie for our weekly family movie night! We try to take turns picking each week but this week was my pick and I knew the kids were going to love the activities, food and movie that I had planned for them! Before we started the movie, they had fun with the activities that were included in their pizza party kits. There were coloring pages, stickers, a word search and a maze! Bella especially had a good time coloring! Ava is too young for this and just tries to eat the crayons when I let her have a chance at coloring....
You and your family can print these fun activities too! Just click on the images below to print!
After their activities, my family and I had worked up an appetite! I ordered some Pizza Hut pizza online. The kids always like plain cheese and my husband and I like pepperoni and bacon on ours! It's always a fun treat to order pizza! It's delicious and I LOVE not having to cook! The kids were given Free Birds plates and cups to add to the fun! They were really anticipating watching this movie!
When we finally got to put in the movie, the kids were all cozy with their sleeping bags and pillows on the floor. They chose some popcorn as their special movie night snack and I turned on the show! Free Birds had us all cracking up from the beginning! Reggie, voiced by Owen Wilson, is a rather smart turkey and knows that he and his turkey friends are being fattened up to be eaten on Thanksgiving. None of the other turkeys believe him until one day when they wise up and throw Reggie to be the turkey eaten on Thanksgiving, or so they think... Reggie is then pardoned by the President of the United States and goes to live in the White House. He totally had the kids cracking up when he cut off a robe to fit him and wore some little pink slippers. He really liked his cushy live of being the pardoned turkey until he meets Jake, a turkey who wants to travel back in time to save all turkeys by taking turkey off of the Thanksgiving menu by going back to the very first Thanksgiving.
This movie is so cute and funny! I think my husband and I enjoyed it just as much as the kids! We plan on making this movie a Thanksgiving tradition for years to come! The kids have all watched it a couple more times this week. Reggie always makes us laugh! Pick up your copy of Free Birds today and have a fun Free Birds Pizza Party with your family too! #FreeBirdsPizzaParty
