My Daily Thrifty Tip for December 4, 2010

#5 Get your hair cut less often. Instead of getting your hair cut every six weeks as recommended, see if you can wait and get it cut every 7-8 weeks. This can "cut" out one or two haircuts per year! If you have boys this can really save some money! If you can learn to cut hair yourself that would be even better!

I hardly ever get my hair cut. My daughters & I grow our hair until its long enough to donate to Locks of Love, have it cut together, then do it all over again. Its become our "thing". Then we go out for ice cream! :)

I'm already following you but stopping by through the Boost My Blog Friday Blog Hop! I hope you'll do the same! You can find & follow me @ http://sofiasideas.com/

Thanks for stopping by my blog - I came over to follow you back! Your blog is very cute!

I don't really get my haircut often and I cut my boys hair on my own. We keep my daughter's hair long because it is just so beautiful - surprisingly my HUSBAND probably gets his hair cut most often! Only because he needs to look neat and professional for his job and I'm afraid I'll mess it up!

I love Sofia's idea. I stopped having perms as my thrifty move. I get a haircut every 6 or 7 weeks, but I no longer shell out $75 every 3 months.

I love that picture, looks like my son's first hair cut. Ugg, I love that my kids were blessed with hair, but boys have to get it cut very often. Definitely a money saver to cut it yourself.

that picture is so funny and cute! however, i can't wait any extra week. i have short hair, so it completely loses it's shape if i go any longer. sometimes i can even tell that it's getting close to haircut time b/c it's getting difficult to keep styled.

thanks so much for coming by the cape on the corner! i am going to go check out what other tips you've got here now!
