Avast, me hearties! Today is "Talk Like a Pirate Day!" In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day and the upcoming release of the new Jake and the Neverland Pirates DVD Yo Ho, Mateys Away! we were given the awesome opportunity to host a Pirate Party! We invited over some of Bella and Sam's cousins and had a super fun time watching the awesome new Jake and the Neverland Pirates DVD and doing some fun pirate activities!

My kids just love the adorable Disney Junior show Jake and the Neverland Pirates! The kids were so excited to have their very own DVD of Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away! This awesome DVD came with a pirate eye patch and a CD with 7 songs! My kids and I have already started listening to that in the car and the songs are so cute and catchy! I love to sing along with them! The DVD includes 7 episodes from Disney Junior's number 1 show: Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

The kids had a great time dressing up as pirates! We were given skull necklaces, skull bandanas, pirate hats, pirate tattoos, skull stamps and of course each child received a pirate patch that is included in the Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away! DVD! They looked so cute in their pirate attire! We were all talking like pirates by the end of the party! The movie was a big hit as you can see from the above photo! The kids sat there for a long while glued to their favorite Disney Junior program: Jake and the Neverland Pirates of course!

There are some really fun Jake and the Neverland Pirates printable party activities on the Disney Junior website. The above photo shows Bella putting together a puzzle of Jake and his pirate crew! You can also print a coloring page, invitations, a matching game and more! There are also recipe ideas for pirate food!

We sure had a great time at our pirate party! Thanks so much to the sponsor! Here's more info about the upcoming release of Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away! Are you talking like a pirate yet?

About Jake and the Neverland Pirates:

Jake and the Never Land Pirates is cable's #1 series among Boys 2-5 and is on track to be Disney Channel's #1 preschool series ever. It is the most co-viewed series among all Disney Junior and Nickelodeon series, with 47% of Moms watching with their preschooler. A music-filled interactive treasure hunt, the series introduces a crew of kid pirates – leader Jake and pals Izzy and Cubby – and follows their Never Land adventures as they work to outwit two infamous characters, the one and only Captain Hook and Smee, from Disney's classic "Peter Pan." Every episode features the animated Sharky and Bones characters as they pop up throughout to perform original pirate ditties, and each episode concludes with a live action music video featuring The Never Land Pirate Band.

"Jake and the Never Land Pirates" airs daily during Disney Channel's Disney Junior programming block for kids age 2-7. The series stars the voices of Colin Ford (TV’s “Supernatural”) as Jake, Madison Pettis (TV’s “Cory in the House”) as Izzy, Jonathan Morgan Heit ("Bedtime Stories") as Cubby, David Arquette ("Scream 4") as Skully the lookout parrot, Corey Burton (TV’s “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”) as Captain Hook, and Jeff Bennet (TV’s “Johnny Bravo”) as Mr. Smee.
