My Daily Thrifty Tip for March 12, 2011

#103 Catch the rain in rain barrels to water your plants. Using rain barrels to harvest rainwater from your roof is a simple, low-expense solution for conserving water and saving on your water bill. If you don't want to purchase a rain barrel, try using buckets, etc. to store rain water to water your plants or wash your car with. The rainy season is approaching, so I thought this would be a good thing to think about!

Thanks for the link! We've been wanting a rain barrel for a while but hate the plasticy-looking ones we always see.
