Money Savvy Pig Review and Giveaway! - CLOSED!

Teaching our kids about money should start early! Kids need to learn that mommy and daddy must go to work to make money and that everything costs money. I have been teaching my kids this from very early on! I started giving Bella an allowance when she was 4 and 1/2. She still gets a small allowance and I like to teach her how to spend some and save some. Bella received a Money Savvy Pig to try out and so far I'm happy with her results! Before having the Money Savvy Pig, I had neglected to teach her about investing and what it means. We have set up goals with Bella about how much money she needs to set aside in each category before she can spend money on a new toy. (Believe me this is not hurting her in any way... you should see how many toys she already owns!)

I love the fact that this bank has four slots, one for each: SPEND, SAVE, DONATE, and INVEST. These are all important categories for kids to divide their money. We have decided that once the INVEST slot is full that we will add it to her college fund! We have been teaching her how important her education is and that college will cost a large sum of money!

I think that the Money Savvy Pig is an invaluable tool for our children. I wish I would have learned more about the importance of saving for the future when I was younger. If I had, I might be in a better financial situation now as an adult.
