(2012 Holiday Gift Guide) Kukees Review and Giveaway - CLOSED!

I will be the first to admit that I have a sweet tooth!  I absolutely love cookies and have such a weakness for them!  Recently I was given some amazingly yummy cookies to review from a company called Kukees.  The cookies that I received from them are fabulous!  They are unlike any cookie that I have ever had.  On the outside they are crunchy like any normal cookie, but on the inside they are so soft and moist - almost like eating cookie dough!  Everyone loves eating cookie dough - even though we know we shouldn't, but this "cookie dough" is baked, so now worries!  I received a box full of different flavors to try.  My family and I had a great time trying all of the different flavors!  These cookies look like a pile of cookie dough and are very large.  Eating just one fills you up!  Pairing them with a glass of milk is like heaven!  We loved these cookies so much that they didn't last long at all..

Kukees come in a beautiful box that make you feel so special to receive!  These would make an excellent gift for just about anyone on your list!  Got someone difficult to shop for?  Why not order them a box of Kukees.  They will feel so special to receive this beautiful box full of deliciousness!  They even have 4 special flavors for the Holidays: Gingerbread Chocolate, Pumpkin White Chocolate, Turtle Kukee, and Cranberry Orange Zest with White Chips.  All of those flavors sound wonderful!  I received some of their everyday flavors and must say that it's hard to choose a favorite - but I think my favorite is the White Chocolate Macadamia.

Is your mouth watering yet?  Mine is!  I would love to receive another box of Kukees as a Christmas gift!  (One that I didn't have to share!)  Head on over to Kukees.com and select your very own box of these delicious Kukees!  Don't forget to enter to win a box below!

(2012 Holiday Gift Guide) Laser Pegs Review

My son is obsessed with Legos right now.  His floor is always covered with them and his creations can be seen on his dresser and night stand waiting to be demolished and recreated into something new.  Recently, we were given some Laser Pegs to review and I'm really excited to tell you all about them!  My son is absolutely loving the set he received and has asked for more for Christmas.

Laser Pegs are a great construction set that can be used with your children's building blocks (like Legos)  The amazing thing about these blocks/pegs is that they light up!  You child's creations can now reach a whole new level with Laser Pegs.  They can be used lit up or turned off.  Once one Laser Peg is connected to the power source, it will light up any other peg that it's connected with.  Sam has made some amazing creations and he loves using his Laser Pegs creations as a night light.  These pegs have an amazingly long life expectancy.  I read that the LED lights will run for 100,000 hours - equivalent to 11 years!

More About Laser Pegs:

The national award winning Laser Pegs® is the first unique toy construction set in the world in which each piece feeds the next piece low voltage current. You can design and build any lighted abstract model. Laser Peg® can be used lit up or turned off. Once one Laser Peg is connected to a power source it then illuminates any other peg it is connected with, making this a very creative construction toy set.

Creatively construct our models or design your very own lit up creation. A high quality LED will run about 100,000 hours, which is equivalent to keeping them illuminated non-stop for 11 years. Therefore, each Laser Pegs® piece has a very long life expectancy. The batteries supply the toy models current, however, the length of time is determined by how many Laser Pegs® are attached to the power base. If you have 70 pegs on one base, the batteries will last about half as long compared with 35 pegs.

We suggest you buy an AC/DC power adapter, which is sold on the Accessory Kit web page. This will limit the use of batteries and keep your creations super bright drawing very little electricity!

The Laser Pegs® power base is not sold with a 5-volt AC adapter. We believe that Laser Pegs® brand is the most innovative, creative toy construction set on the market today. Our number one goal is to create a toy culture that will revolutionize the toy building block arena. The Laser Pegs® are compatible with other major building sets.

In 2006 our idea was to make a clear enclosure around a super bright LED that would feed other shapes low voltage current continuously when they were connected to each other. It wasn’t till April 2009 we released the very first set to the global market.

After many years and much trial and error, our goal has been met with the creation of this toy construction set that illuminates. Each piece is made of clear ABS plastic with a small resistor and LED on the inside of the molded shape. Each piece slides perfectly into the next allowing the person using them to create limitless designs. All the product has passed QA testing and won every major toy award in the USA. Laser Pegs were featured in some of the most prestigious stores in the USA and in some pretty amazing museums in other countries!

We have all played with various types of toy construction sets at least once in our lifetime, however with Laser Pegs® for the first time you can truly add light to the subject of playtime. Creative toys are hard to come by, so don't pass up this one. We strive to provide you and your kids with the time of your life using our unique toy set. All of our items have a 90 day guarantee!

(2012 Holiday Gift Guide) The First Christmas: The Story of the First Christmas Snow Review

Earlier this month, Warner Brothers released The First Christmas: The Story of the First Christmas Snow to Deluxe-Edition DVD.  This movie was animated by Rankin/Bass (think Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer).  This is such a great story and will definitely be one that we watch as a tradition for years to come!  Although this movie was released in 1975, I'm pretty sure that this was the first time I've seen it.  It's a story about a boy who becomes blind and is taken in by nuns.  Lucas, the boy, has never seen snow and they describe it for him.  He is chosen to play an angel in the Christmas Pageant and it snows during the play which works a small miracle.  This is a wonderful story of the true meaning of Christmas and it was a joy for my family and I to share!  We will be watching it several more times this holiday season!  This is a great movie to share with your loved ones this holiday season.

Synposis:

Unwrap a Christmas miracle with this new deluxe edition DVD! Give your family a holiday to remember with this unforgettable story about the true meaning of Christmas from the animation powerhouse Rankin/Bass (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer)! After Sister Theresa (voiced by Angela Lansbury) rescues an orphan shepherd boy from a lightning storm, she lovingly nurses him back to health. However, the boy suffered injuries during the storm and wakes up blind and discouraged in his new surroundings. With Sister Theresa’s help, the pint-sized shepherd with the king-sized heart learns that seeing goes deeper than what your eyes show you. Together, they discover that unconditional love can overcome any obstacles. Celebrate the gift of love with your family this holiday as you experience this fully remastered deluxe edition DVD!
