Kung Fu Panda 2 Awesome Double DVD Pack Review!

Yesterday, December 13th, Kung Fu Pamda 2 was released onto DVD and Blu-ray!  My family was very excited to receive the Kung Fu Panda Awesome Double DVD Pack to review!  This movie was actually the very first movie that we took Sam to see at the movie theater.  It was a great experience for him, but we think he was still a little too young.  He loves Po and every time he came onto the screen Sam would shout with glee, "Pow Pow Panda"!  Thankfully the theater was full of kids and understanding parents!  Needless to say, I didn't get to see the movie in it's entirety, so I was thrilled to watch it at home and see the parts I missed!

This movie delves into Po's past and what happened to his real parents.  (I always wondered why he has a goose for a father!)  Kung Fu Panda 2 is full of action!  Po must lead the Furious Five to defeat a very threatening rival!  This DVD also includes an episode of the new Nickelodeon show: Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness!  My kids also enjoyed the other DVD included in this two pack - Kung Fu Pands: Secrets of the Masters.  In Secrets of the Masters, Po and the gang uncover a legend of three of kung fu's greatest heroes: Master Thundering Rhino, Master Storming Ox, and Master Croc.  Sam and Bella had a great time watching this new Kung Fu Panda adventure and your kids will too!  This Awesome Double DVD Pack also comes with 2 FREE online game memberships!  Bella briefly played this last night and it looks like a lot of fun!  In Kung Fu Panda World, kids can create avatars, play games with their favorite characters, win points towards earning a kung fu black belt, chat with friends and more!

KUNG FU PANDA 2,  DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.’s spectacular follow up to the Academy Award®-nominated original debuts on Blu-ray and DVD on Panda 2sday, December 13, 2011.  Combining non-stop action, beautiful storytelling and stunning animation, the “winning sequel” (USA Today) delighted viewers of all ages with its engaging story that is both “hilarious and full of heart” (WABC-TV).  The film earned more than $650 million at the global box office, making it one of the top five films of the year worldwide.  In addition to the smash hit film, the KUNG FU PANDA 2 Awesome Packs feature the exclusive debut of the all-new Po adventure Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Masters plus two free memberships to the popular online game universe Kung Fu Panda World.  Packed with even more panda-rific bonus features, the KUNG FU PANDA 2 Awesome Packs will be available with expected pricing as low as $25 on DVD and $30 on Blu-ray.  Consumers who purchase this DreamWorks Animation signature entertainment experience on Panda 2sday will get both an awesome and affordable holiday gift – over $75 in value.

In the action-filled companion story Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Masters, Po and the Furious Five uncover the legend of three of kung fu’s greatest heroes: Master Thundering Rhino, Master Storming Ox and Master Croc.  Kids can then follow in Po’s footsteps to become a kung fu master with Kung Fu Panda World, the virtual online game universe where kids create avatars, play games with their favorite characters, win points towards earning a kung fu black belt, chat with friends and more.

Featuring an all-star cast of voice talent including Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Gary Oldman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Michelle Yeoh, Danny McBride and Jean-Claude Van Damme, KUNG FU PANDA 2 will also be available on a single-disc DVD and in the Kung Fu Panda Collection on either DVD or Blu-ray, which includes both movies, Kung Fu Panda:  Secrets of the Masters, two free online game memberships to Kung Fu Panda World, and loads of additional fun.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is definitely a good movie for both adults and children. My nephew loves watching the first movie, and I finally rented the second one. We both loved it! I am not a big fan of Jack Black, but he was great as the voice of Po in both movies. I will be seeing this movie once again soon with my Blockbuster Movie Pass! In addition to being able to rent DVDs and Blu-Rays my mail or in the store, the Blockbuster Movie Pass lets me stream movies and shows to my TV and computer. Whether or not I worked for DISH, I would still have to have the $10 per month Blockbuster Movie Pass. It’s that good! I would say that anyone who hasn’t seen Kung Fu Panda 2 should definitely take a look!
