Zippity Doos Review and Giveaway! - CLOSED!

I remember how awful it was to get head lice as a child! My mother would scrub my head with that awful smelling head lice shampoo and then spend hours picking out the nits from my by then, very sore head of long hair! Now that my daughter has started Kindergarten, this year she has actually come home with head lice twice!!! It is so much work! I have to keep her home from school and leave the stinky lice shampoo in her hair for 10 minutes and then wash it out. Then begins the VERY tedious process of using that tiny comb to remove all of the nits (lice eggs) from her beautiful long hair. She HATES sitting there while I comb through her hair. Then I check my hair and realize that I HAVE HEAD LICE TOO! After doing the same awful treatment to my own hair I must boil our hairbrushes, bag all of the kids' stuffed animals and wash every blanket, pillow, and sheet in the house! This is SO NOT FUN! Therefore I was extremely excited to try Zippity Doos Haircare Products! I received some shampoo, conditioner, leave-in detangler, styling gel, and shield spray from Zippity Doos to review for Bella's hair.


First of all I must report than since using the Zippity Doos haircare line, my daughter has NOT come home with head lice! I have been using Zippity Doos shampoo, conditioner and leave-in detangler on her hair daily for the past 3 weeks. We have also tried the shield spray in the morning a couple of times (when I remembered). Bella loves this stuff! First of all and not really relevant, it is so fun to say "Zippity Doos!" The shampoo and conditioner smells much better than the head lice shampoo, but it has a stronger scent than normal shampoos letting me know that it does have some active ingredients to deter those little nasty bugs from jumping to my little girl's head! The leave-in detangler works very well making it easier to comb through Bella's long hair. He hair looks so clean and pretty while using Zippity Doos haircare products!

I have heard that Tea Tree Oil is effective in repelling lice and was happy to notice that Tea Tree Oil is one of the main ingredients in the Zippity Doos haircare line! Another great thing is that you can spray the shield spray on your child's belongings to repel head lice. This is great since many times head lice jump from coat to coat while hanging in our children's cubbies at school! I will continue to use Zippity Doos haircare for my daughter! It is SO worth it to avoid the awful aggravation of head lice!
