#140 Saving money on a kid's birthday party: buy solid color plates, napkins, etc. It's fun to throw a themed birthday party for your child! My son LOVES Thomas the Train right now and we are planning on throwing a Thomas themed party for him. Instead of purchasing the expensive Thomas plates, napkins, cups, etc., I will be purchasing solid color blue paper items. These can be found for half the price at Walmart or Dollar Stores! I will still get him some Thomas themed decorations, but I can save a bit of cash on the paper items.
