My Daily Thrifty Tip for March 28, 2011

#119 Place your main course last at a buffet. When serving a meal buffet style, take a tip from caterers and put your most expensive dish (usually the main course) last in the line. This way everyone should fill up their plates before coming to the main dish and won't have as much room, therefore saving you a bit of money. You may plan ahead and not make as much of the main course or have more leftovers to take home! I never thought of this trick until reading it in a magazine, but it makes sense!
