My Daily Thrifty Tip for February 7, 2011
#70 Thrifty Snow Day Activity: Since we've had so many snow days lately I thought I'd post a fun snack to make with your kids! Make "snowflakes" out of flour tortillas that are folded into fourths by cutting out shapes (like you would to make a paper snowflake). Unfold them to lay flat on a baking sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake in the oven preheated to 350 degrees just until crispy. (about 5 minutes) Enjoy! My kids loved eating their snowflakes!!

What a great idea!
Sounds yummy!
I like to make my own tortillas, sometimes from masa harina, sometimes from flour. This is a cool idea - I'm excited to try it!!!
