My Daily Thrifty Tip for February 1, 2011

#64 Homemade baby wipes: I found this recipe in the book The Duggar's: 20 and Counting! which is an awesome read!!!

Cut a whole roll of Bounty paper towels into two halves. (We've found that Bounty is the only brand that works. Use an electric knife for best results.)

Place one of the halved rolls vertically in an empty and thoroughly cleaned 1-gallon ice cream bucket. In a large measuring pitcher, mix 2 cups water, 2 tablespoons baby oil, and 1 tablespoon rubbing alcohol. (Some families also like to add a tablespoon of baby bubble bath.)

Pour the liquid over the halved roll of paper towels in the ice cream bucket, and soak for thirty minutes. Remove the cardboard center. Feed the top corner of the paper towels through an X-shaped slit you've cut in the lid of the ice cream bucket so you can pull out and tear off one "wipe" at a time.

You can be even more frugal by using inexspensive baby wash clothes (you can usual pick them up for mere nothing at yard sales and thirt stores). I use them for homemade clorax wipes but this can also be used for homemade baby wipes! Thanks for sharing...
