My Daily Thrifty Tip for January 7, 2011

#39 Try using store brand formula. When I had Bella (my first baby) I tried breast feeding and it just didn't work out. I received a free can of Enfamil in the hospital and began using that to feed her. It never dawned on me then to try the store brand until she was about 10 months old. I just thought the more expensive brands were better for my baby. Boy was I wrong! By law all formula manufacturers must adhere to the same FDA guidelines. When you buy a cheaper brand you don't have to worry that you are skimping on your baby's nutrition. With Sam I was smarter and used the Walmart Parent's Choice brand the entire time. This saves at least $7 a can, sometimes more!!
