I am going to start writing a "Thrifty Tip" every day. As a work at home mother of two, I have tried to find many ways to cut corners. My husband was laid off last spring and was out of work for three months. We had to be very careful with our money then and continue to be thrifty now. It teaches our children that money "doesn't grow on trees." I think that instilling thrifty values into my children will help them to be better with money when they grow up too! With that being said... on to Thrifty Tip number 1...
#1 Since Christmas is right around the corner... why not give your sister, neighbor, or girlfriend a "gift certificate" for a free night of babysitting! I know I'd love a night out with my husband without the kids! I love them to pieces, but all moms and dads need a break at times! This saves you the cost of a gift and would be very much appreciated by the other mom!
Stay tuned! I will post a new thrifty tip every day!!!

Good Idea!
Following you back from http://mommybrainedmadness.blogspot.com
This year, I save a bunch of money by crocheting gifts for numerous people. Yarn is cheap and time is free. =) Love your idea though!
Will be watching out from now on! Love your first one!
Great idea! I love it!
