My children and I have just read an adorable story entitled
Cooper and Me that was illustrated by and 11 year old girl named Alexa Peters and co-written with her mother, Monique Peters. This book was just released yesterday, October 14th! It is a great story about a girl venturing off to school for the first time and how she will miss her dog while at school. Her mother comes up with a way to help her through this transition. This book is illustrated beautifully and we loved the rhyming story! My children are dog lovers as well, so they could really relate to this story. Bella did have first day of school jitters and this book could have helped her with that. I'm glad that we will have this book for Sam's first day of school (still a couple of years away). I would reccommend
Cooper and Me to parents with children just starting kindergarten or preschool!

Cooper and Me was illustrated by 11-year-old Alexa Peters and co-written with her mother, Monique Peters. The idea was inspired by Alexa's own experiences on her first day of school. A talented young artist and writer, Alexa wanted to give back to others in a meaningful way through her art.
