Building my Stockpile on a $20 Weekly Budget: Week 1

I have a pretty tight budget!  I want to build a stockpile with very little money.  I have budgeted $20 a week for this purpose.  So each week, I am going to see what I can add to my stockpile for only $20.  I will usually shop at Walgreens since in my opinion that is the best place for couponing in my town.  So I hope you will follow along with me each week!  I would love to see what you can score for $20 too!

This week, I checked out the Walgreen's ad and Coupons.com as well as the coupons that can be clipped to my Balance Rewards card.  Here's what I was able to buy for $20.66 (I went over a bit)

Here's the breakdown:

  • Charmin Toilet Paper 12 Double Rolls:  $5.99 -$1.00 online coupon clipped to my Balance Rewards card = $4.99
  • Sparkle Paper Towels 6 rolls: $5.00 - $1.00 coupon from Coupons.com = $4.00
  • 4 assorted zip lock bags: $0.99 each with in ad coupon
  • 3 2-liter bottles of Diet Mountain Dew - 3/$3.00
  • 2 boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch: $2 each - coupon for $1/2 from Coupons.com = $1.50 per box

I don't know if you use iBotta https://ibotta.com/r/evdptqf or not, but it can be a great way to stretch your dollars a little farther! :) I don't find deals I can use on it every week, but often enough to make it worth my time checking every week and if nothing else, I can at least get 25 cents back for submitting a receipt. :)

I do use that one too! There wasn't anything to submit this week though. :(
