I am a frugal mommy! I know how to stretch a dollar! It hasn't always been that way though. When I had my first child, a baby girl named Bella Grace, I was a working mommy (outside of the home) and I didn't know the first thing about saving money. My husband and I were both working outside of the home making a good salary and we were barely scraping by. I thought I had to buy the name brand formula and name brand baby foods for my baby. I just thought I had to and that I would be considered a bad mommy if I sacrificed quality for my baby. Well, once Bella turned 10 months old I decided to try the Parent's Choice Infant Formula that Walmart sells. I was kicking myself for not trying it sooner! All infant formulas have to be FDA approved and of course the Parent's Choice brand was. I compared the labels and was amazed at how many of the same vitamins and nutrients were in the can of Parent's Choice formula compared to the expensive name brand formula. I wasn't sacrificing quality at all! The store brand formula cost less by almost half! When Bella turned one I made a huge life decision. I couldn't stand being away from her and missing out on all of her firsts, so I became a childcare provider and started watching kids out of my home. It was a HUGE adjustment and we had to cut costs significantly because I was bringing in less money. I began coupon clipping and trying more store brands. I began following Money Saving Mom and learned many ways to cut costs and found that buying name brand products didn't make me a good mom. Being there for my daughter made me a good mom!
I was thrilled for the chance to review some products from Perrigo Nutritionals and to review Crystal Paine's new book - (she is the woman behind Money Saving Mom) the blog that I have always loved! I received some formula (which I passed on to my sister-in-law) various baby food puree pouches and snacks. My daughter Ava still loves the baby food puree pouches, yogurt melts and puffs!
The above photo is Ava enjoying some yogurt melts! You will find Perrigo Nutritionals' products as your local store brand. I know them as Up & Up brand from Target and Parent's Choice brand from Walmart.

With the high cost of baby food now days, we clip coupons for them all. I can remember when jars of baby food were .10 a jar!
either buying store brands or using coupons
coupons for diapers
I use coupons for everything!
breastfeeding saved lots of money & using coupons
livivua- use coupons and get on brand mailing lists
My tip is to use coupons combined with a sale; also use store brands; usually they are of equal quality to name brands.
I always try to use coupons. I especially like to try to combine Target or grocery store coupons with manufacturer's coupons. I also look for stores that have double coupon days
