I was thrilled to find out that I was selected to host a Disney Side At Home Celebration! We just adore all things Disney in our home and it seemed that this was the perfect fit for my family! We invited our cousins and some friends to come over and celebrate our Disney Side together! I had lots of activities for us to do and I think I can speak for everyone, when I say it was a blast!
First the kids decorated white Hanes Tee-shirts with fabric markers. Most of them went with Doc McStuffins since she is a favorite Disney character amongst the little crowd! We had a Hallie, a Lamby and Doc herself! My daughter also made a cute Cubby shirt (From Jake and the Never Land Pirates).
We played a fun Disney Trivia game which was loved by our Disney fans - young and old! We had fun naming all of the seven dwarfs from Disney's Snow White, and we learned how old The Magic Kingdom is - 42 years young! We learned lots more about The Happiest Place on Earth - Walt Disney World and I can't wait for our family to take another trip to Disney Parks!
Then we played some Disney BINGO! The cards were adorable and filled with pictures of our favorite Disney characters, parks, attractions and resorts! I got to be the caller and the kids all had fun yelling out BINGO when they got five in a row!
We also watched a Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD and it really got me to start thinking of our next trip to Walt Disney World. Honestly, your kids are only little once. I remember when I took them to Disney a couple of years ago (while I was pregnant with Ava). Our family had such a memorable experience and I can't wait to go back and take Ava for the first time! There really is a lot you need to know when planning a trip to Disney. I will be way more prepared for our next trip. Things book up quickly so you need to make your reservations far in advance for things like the Bibbity Bobbity Bootique and for the restaurants with the characters. I was sad that last time we weren't able to get reservations for some of the things I wanted to do, so next time I will start planning even more ahead of time. A trip to Disney Parks is so magical for children and something they will never forget! My kids still talk about meeting the characters, all of the amazing rides, and of course the parade of characters! We made magical memories as a family and that trip was priceless!
