Today is a great day for fans of the Nickelodeon program Dora the Explorer!  Nickelodeon has released a brand new DVD entitled: Dora the Explorer: Dora's Great Roller Skate Adventure!  I know my kids are super excited for the release of this DVD.  My daycare bunch LOVES to watch Dora!  If I need to get them to calm down a bit, I simply pop a Dora the Explorer DVD in and they are all silent!  They love to help Dora solve problems by checking the map and finding a lost toy or finding their way to help a friend.  In Dora's Great Roller Skate Adventure Dora and Boots must stand up to a bully - Big Wheeler, when he closes Skate Park.  I think this episode sends a great message to kids to not bully other children and to stand up for one another.  There are also 2 more great Dora the Explorer episodes include in this DVD: "Check-up Day" and "School Science Fair".  All of the kids really enjoyed this DVD and have asked to watch it numerous times.  I love that the kids learn while watching Dora and Boots.  Make sure to pick up your copy of Dora's Great Roller Skate Adventure today!

Dora the Explorer, created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes and Eric Weiner, is a play-along, animated adventure series starring Dora, a seven-year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests.  She explores her world just as preschoolers do every day, and the show is designed to actively engage its audience in an interactive quest using a variety of learning techniques.
