Wreck-It Ralph - Out Now!

My kids are so excited, because Wreck-It Ralph is now on Blu-ray combo pack!  We received our copy to review and it is such a fun movie!  When Sam saw the trailer for this movie for the first time, he wanted to go to the movies right then!  He didn't understand that the movie wasn't out in the theaters yet, but he kept asking when he could go and see it, so we knew we'd have to take him to see it!  Normally at the movies, Sam is more into his popcorn and making trips to the bathroom and not too interested in the movie.  Not with Wreck-It Ralph!  He sat through the entire thing with barely any notice of his popcorn!

This movie is all about a "bad guy" from a video game called Fix-It Felix.  He is tired of being a bad guy and when he leaves the game, everyone notices and the game is threatened to be unplugged!  While he is away from his game he meets a girl named Vanellope von Schweetz - a video game glitch, who wants to be a racer in her video game - Sugar Rush.  The pair dislike one another at first, but then work together with a surprising outcome!  I LOVED this movie!  It was amazing how they integrated that old 8-bit video game look within more modern video game graphics!  Disney has done it again!  This is a sure to be classic!  My kids have watched it numerous times since we've received our review copy and I love every minute of it!  This would make the perfect Easter basket stuffer for kids of all ages!

Movie Synopsis:
Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy(R)-winning director Rich Moore (TV's "The Simpsons", "Futurama") take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in "Wreck-It Ralph". Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby", "Stepbrothers") is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer, "30 Rock"), the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades of doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he's tired of playing the bad guy in their game. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero. On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch, TV's "Glee") from the first-person action game Hero's Duty. But it's the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman, "The Sarah Silverman Program") from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade.

Good review Shanee. This flick is a whole lot of fun and even if it is mostly based on nostalgia, well then it's still good nostalgia none the less.
