Purex Baby Detergent Review and Giveaway! (3 Winners) (CLOSED)

In November we were blessed with a new baby girl.  Like any mom, I want the best for her.  When I had my first baby, I was suckered into buying all of that expensive baby stuff and now with Ava, I know what I need and what I don't.  Well, with Bella and Sam, special baby detergent wasn't really a must have because they never had any issues with my normal detergent.  (I found that out after using a few bottles of the VERY expensive baby detergent - not naming any names, but you know which ones.)  Well, little Ava is another story.  She has already had several diaper rashes and rashes on her skin.  I've determined that the cheaper the better with diapers, since the expensive ones cause a bad diaper rash.  I've also discovered Purex Baby detergent to wash her clothes and that seems to be helping with the rashes on her skin.

You know me, I'm all for a good bargain, but like all mom's, my baby's health is way more important than saving a few bucks.  Well, I'm here to tell you that you can save money with Purex Baby and not sacrifice quality!  I've always been pleased with Purex products in the past.  They get my clothes clean at a fraction of the price of some of the other leading brands.  Well, this is true with Purex Baby detergent as well!  I love the light baby fresh scent of Ava's clothes and with the hypoallergenic formula of this detergent, Ava's skin is pretty and pink - not red and splotchy!  It's also great at getting those formula stains out of her clothing!  I'm anxious to see how well it works on baby food stains.

Gentle on Baby’s Skin. Tough on Baby’s Messes.

You want the best for your baby, and so do we. Purex Baby detergent is hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested and formulated to be extra gentle on your little one’s sensitive skin. Purex Baby detergent leaves your baby’s clothes smelling fresh and clean, and won’t harm the flame resistance of sleepwear.

On really tough stains, I use Tide Stain Remover AND Oxy Stain Remover...the combination got some old, dried blood out of a piece of clothing. Worked GREAT!

On greasy or tomato type stains I've learned if you get them in hot water and scrub some soap on them right away..the stain almost always comes out.

Put a half cup of white vinegar in with your new clothes to set the color. It really works! Thanks so much for the fantastic giveaway and happy New Year!

I try to examine clothes before I put them in the laundry basket and use a laundry pre-treat stick on any stains I see.

Get those grease stains out by rubbing in Dawn (dishsoap)

Try to treat stains before they go into the basket, since it is likely that they will not be washed immediately.

my tip is to wash clothes in cold water, it keeps them from fading and shrinking thanks crystal

Know your washer and dryer capacity. An over-filled washer does not get clothes very clean.

we take turns in our house doing laundry..which is a big help :)

Lisa said...

I always use cold water-less shrinking and cleans just as well

Sandy V. said...

I like to pre-treat anything with a stain. Purex is actually better at cleaning than some other brands.

Sort your laundry TWICE before starting a load. Otherwise a red sock may be hiding in your whites.......I have learned this the hard way when everything in the load turned pink!

Seperate your laundry into three loads: coloreds, whites, and jeans/towels!

Leanne Hill said...

My only tip is to tear dryer sheets in half so your box lasts longer and the clothes dont smell as strong

cman said...

I do a few loads a day so i'm not overwhelmed.

Make your own laundry detergent. Its really easy and way cheaper.
