Back to School Shopping Guide: Gutzy Gear Party!

With the kids going back to school, we were thrilled to throw a Back To School - Gutzy Gear Party for some of Bella's friends.  What is Gutzy Gear you may ask?  Well, they are super fun patches that kids can put on their backpacks and trade with their friends.  First you start with backpack strap covers that simply velcro to your child's backpack straps.  The backpack strap covers come with a Gutzy Gear patch to start out with.  Then your child can start collecting Gutzies!  There are 56 in a series and new ones being introduced all the time, so it will be easy to find some that your child likes!  I love that the patches are velcro, so no sewing or ironing for mom!  At school, or other places, kids can trade their Gutzies with their friends.  They are so cute and fun for kids!

At our Gutzy Gear party, we played lots of fun games and the kids were able to earn "Gutzy Tokens."  We let the child with the most Gutzy Tokens pick his or her Gutzy 2 Pack first and so on.  The kids had a blast playing the game "Find the other half of the Gutzy"  I gave them a token for each match that they made. 

We then played a couple more games: Gutzy BINGO and Gutzy Dominoes!  The kids had a blast and asked to play them over and over again!

 

After they were familiar with all of the Gutzies, it was time for each child to receive a package of backpack strap covers and a 2 pack of Gutzies!  This was their favorite part!  All of the kids had their favorite Gutzies!  Bella loved the red and black paw print since her school mascot is a wildcat and her school colors are red and black!  Sam loved the guitars and monkeys!  After the kids received their Gutzies, they began trading with one another!  They loved trading and I think they all ended up having their favorites back in the end!

 

Bella still has her Gutzy Gear on her backpack and trades with her friends at school every few days!  She loves that her backpack is one of a kind with her choice of Gutzies!
