#143 Call your cable provider and ask for a better rate. We check with our cable provider once every 6 months or so to see if they are running any specials and ask for a rate reduction. Sometimes they offer specials with premium channels that you can get for less than you are currently paying. Just pay attention to your bill and the sale dates, because they may start charging you full price again after the sale has ended. (Thus why we call back every 6 months) Try this with your Internet provider too if they aren't bundled. It doesn't hurt to ask! In fact you could save $20 or so per month!
