#75 Save money at your child's birthday party by making the cake yourself. Cakes can be a really expensive part of your child's birthday party if you have a bakery make them. I have had cakes made for my children's parties and they would cost $35 or more! To save money I have started making cupcakes for my kid's birthday parties and this only costs about $3 for the cake mix, frosting, and sprinkles! The kid's don't really care that the cake was not made by a bakery! They just want to have a fun party!
