Are you wondering how this works? Well I'll tell you! Produce naturally gives off ethylene gas as a signaling mechanism in order to coordinate uniform ripening. Now when this ethylene gas is given off in your home and refrigerator it becomes concentrated and begins to speed up ripening and hasten spoilage. The BluApple is designed to absorb the ethylene gas effectively for up to 3 months. It doesn't wear out in 3 months, however it reaches it's ethylene gas capacity and you will just need to add a new packet to your BluApple. The packets are great because they are so safe that you can use them as fetilizer! Using refills means that you are not adding your BluApple to the landfill!
