So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook from Fresh Baby Review and Giveaway!-CLOSED

Let's face it, toddlers are picky eaters! The picky eating phase can go on for years! My son is two and he will only eat certain foods. I try to get him to try different fruits and vegetables, but he takes one look at them and says "No mommy! I want a hot dog!" Some days I am thrilled if he eats a hot dog because he hasn't eaten much for two days!! I was given the opportunity to review the "So Easy Toddler Food" cookbook from Fresh Baby. Any tips and or recipes I can get I will try on my picky eater!

The So Easy Toddler Food cookbook was filled with great tips for picky eaters, such as "Children are more likely to eat something that they have helped make. Get your children involved in preparing meals." There are also many simple recipes to make for your children. I tried two of the recipes and to my astonishment, my son ate them both! He did leave a bit left on his plate, but he did eat most of it! Here are the two recipes I tried:

Pinapple Kabobs:
Ingredients:
4 pineapple chunks (1/2 inch pieces)
2 colby jack cheese cubes (1/2 inch pieces)
2 slices deli-ham, cut into 1 inch squares or 4 ham steak cubes (1 inch pieces)
toothpicks

Directions:
Assemble min-kabobs on a toothpick in the following order: a ham square, a pineapple chunk, and a cheese cube. Makes 1 toddler serving.

Sunshine Wraps:
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1 Tbsp apple, grated
1 Tbsp carrots, grated
8-10 raisins
1 whole wheat or flour tortilla

Directions:
Spread peanut butter on the tortilla. Sprinkle one half with apples, carrots, and raisins. Beginning on the side with the apple mixture, roll up the tortilla. The peanut butter will act like glue to seal the wrap. Serve. Makes 1-2 toddler servings.
