#30 Buy gender neutral when having your first baby. When you are expecting a baby and find out the gender, resist the urge to buy everything in pink or blue. I've heard stories of women who expected a girl and a bouncing baby boy was delivered and vice versa. It would also be great to use all of that expensive baby gear a second or even third time around! Car seats are very expensive and Dad isn't going to be happy if his son has to ride in his daughter's pretty pink hand me down car seat. Plan ahead and buy gender neutral baby gear so that it can be used again and again!

this is exactly what we did! Most of our baby things are gender neutral...I planned ahead because you never know what future children will be!
